Graeme Cook lives in Burnley with his wife Jane (otherwise known as Mrs C) although they spend much of their time in Spain. He spent twenty three years working for a bank before it dawned on him that he didn't actually like banking which led him to start up his own business in 2004. That business was subsequently sold in 2020 and since when he has indulged a newly found love for walking whilst remaining loyal to longer established relationships with beer and football. After completing the Camino Frances in 2022, he thought he might try and write a book about the experience and having done so he duly celebrated with a beer and then probably watched a football match. And since then another book, more beer and more football, much of which he is prone to blog about at www.elrealthing.com. Retirement is good. The couple have two grown-up daughters, Emily and Ellie, who continue to encourage mum and dad to live their best lives.
He is a very lucky guy.
